Why take on the Cycle Lives Bike Ride Challenge for us?

Join thousands of cyclists on one of four routes all through scenic Nottinghamshire. Each route offers something for everyone whether you’re new to cycling or you want a big challenge with lots of hills and fast straights.

By cycling for us you’ll be making a difference to women, teenage girls and children right across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Every year we help over 13,000 women but it’s only with the help of supporters like you that we can continue. Every pound you raise will help us to reduce the harm caused by domestic abuse.

“I’ve taken part in the Notts Bike Ride for the past two years and loved it. The route winds through Nottinghamshire and is really pretty without being too hilly and there’s a great sense of camaraderie, fun and enjoyment amongst the cyclists. Not to mention the designated pit stops with on-site mechanics and food.

I had a break from cycling for 20 years and only got back in the saddle in the spring of 2015. Myself and some friends wanted to get fit and cycling was what we all had in common. I’ve had my bike since 1982 (yes that’s right, 1982) so dusted off the cobwebs, gave it a good service and got back on the road. I haven’t looked back. I’d love you to join me in 2017 to help raise funds to keep our services going”

Every minute one incident of domestic violence is reported to the police.

One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime.

Two women per week on average are killed by a male partner or former partner. Nearly half of all female murder victims are killed by a partner or ex-partner.
